Viewtech – Terms and Conditions of Sale
- About Us
These terms apply to all orders placed with Viewtech. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
A contract is formed only when your order has been accepted and dispatched. Order confirmation emails do not constitute acceptance.
- Product Use & Broadcast Services
2.1 We supply receiving equipment and related accessories only. We do not supply or control any television, radio, or digital broadcast content.
2.2 Broadcast services, including subscription services, viewing cards, and encrypted channels, are provided by third-party broadcasters. We are not affiliated with, or responsible for, those broadcasters.
2.3 We are not responsible for any changes made by broadcasters or service providers, including but not limited to:
- Changes to channels, content, or availability
- Encryption or access method changes
- Satellite or frequency changes
- Service withdrawal, suspension, or rebranding
2.4 Products that enable access to subscription or encrypted services may require activation or registration. Once such products have been activated or registered to an end user, they are non-cancellable and non-returnable, unless faulty.
2.5 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws relating to the use of satellite and broadcast equipment.
2.6 Viewing of age-restricted content must be controlled by the end user. Appropriate parental controls should be used where necessary.
- Domestic Use Only
3.1 Products supplied for subscription or encrypted broadcast services are intended for private domestic use only.
3.2 You must not:
- Rebroadcast, redistribute, or relay content
- Show content in public or commercial premises (including pubs, clubs, hotels, or communal areas)
- Charge others to view content
3.3 Unauthorised use may result in deactivation of services by the broadcaster and may invalidate any warranty.
- Pricing
4.1 All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).
4.2 Prices may change at any time prior to order acceptance.
4.3 Delivery charges are calculated at checkout. Where additional charges apply (e.g. oversized or remote areas), we will contact you before dispatch.
4.4 International Orders
We ship worldwide. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout or advised prior to dispatch where applicable.
Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, and handling charges that may apply in the destination country.
- Payment
5.1 Payment must be made in full before dispatch using accepted payment methods displayed at checkout.
5.2 We may carry out security checks on orders. Orders flagged as high risk may be delayed or cancelled.
- Delivery
6.1 We aim to dispatch orders promptly, typically within one working day.
6.2 Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
6.3 Risk passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
6.4 We remain responsible for goods until they are delivered. In the event of loss in transit, we will investigate and resolve in line with courier procedures.
- Right to Cancel (Consumers Only)
7.1 Consumers have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
7.2 Returned goods must be:
- Complete with all accessories
- In original packaging where possible
- In a condition consistent with reasonable handling
7.3 We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value caused by excessive handling.
7.4 The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Activated or registered viewing cards or subscriptions
- Digital content once accessed or activated
- Custom or special-order items
7.5 Standard delivery costs will be refunded. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.
- Returns & Refunds
8.1 Returns must be authorised before being sent back.
8.2 Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods.
8.3 Items returned incomplete, damaged, or with missing components may be subject to deductions.
8.4 We do not accept returns of activated subscription products unless faulty.
- Faulty Goods & Warranty
9.1 If a product is faulty, please contact us for support before returning it.
9.2 Within 30 days of delivery, faulty goods may be eligible for a refund or replacement.
9.3 After 30 days, we will offer repair or replacement in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9.4 Unless stated otherwise:
- New products include a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty
- Refurbished products include a 12-month warranty
9.5 This warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover:
- Misuse, accidental damage, or installation issues
- Signal or reception problems
- Changes in broadcast services
- Returns Procedure
10.1 Please contact us before returning any item.
10.2 Items must be securely packaged and include proof of purchase.
10.3 We reserve the right to return items that are sent without prior authorisation.
- Business Customers
11.1 Business-to-business sales are not covered by consumer cancellation rights.
11.2 Returns from business customers are accepted at our discretion unless goods are faulty.
- Limitation of Liability
12.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12.2 We are not liable for:
- Loss of content or services from third-party broadcasters
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Installation or compatibility issues outside our control
- General
13.1 We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order.
13.2 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
