The TechniStar S6 International Edition from respected German manufacturer Technisat is a HDTV digital satellite receiver with a wide range of first-class features and functions. To receive Pay-TV channels the TechniStar S6 International Edition has an integrated CONAX smartcard reader and a CI/CI+ Ready Common Interface slot. This interface permits the use of additional decoding systems.

The TechniStar S6 is also equipped with a whole host of advanced features, is DVR Ready and supports Technisat's TechniFamily functions. The DVRready function facilitates the recording of broadcasts onto an external storage medium such as a USB hard drive. The TechniFamily feature can be used to set up various different user accounts on the receiver. This can be used, for example, to enable parents to stipulate how long their children can watch television during the day and which channels they can watch.

Easy Auto-Install Using your Technisat box for the first time requires a number of important settings storing specific to your location. Clear on-screen instructions from the Technisat easy installation wizard will guide you through an easy-to-understand set up procedure. You will be up and running in no time.

isipro The free TechniSat channel list manager does away with tedious manual channel scanning. When channels change frequency or switch on/off, this free service provides an automatic way of updating the list of channels available. This process runs if you have agreed to updating. Customised lists are retained and amended where necessary.

Pay-TV Ready The Technistar S6 enables you to receive encrypted content from a subscription based Pay TV provider.

Common Interface CI+ This (common) interface is used in combination with a CI or CI+ module and corresponding SmartCard to enable access to encrypted programming such as Pay TV or Pay Radio. CI+ 1.3 compatible.

DVR ready Easily record your favourite films or music on an external USB storage medium. Use this option to archive data without loss or to play it back using the Timeshift function.

UPnP The S6 can be easily integrated into the home network system via its integrated Ethernet port enabling various multimedia devices such as PC, Smart TV and mobile devices to interconnected by UPnP/DLNA for remote recording and viewing of programmes.

Perfect Recording Offers detection of broadcast time postponement in DVR mode. EPG permitting.

Editing Function Recorded programmes can be edited later via handy cutting and editing tools (e.g. to remove advertising slots).

TechniMatic This free updating service from TechniSat keeps the software on your device up to date. As soon as enhancements or improvements to the operating software are available, the set carries out an automatic software update at the appropriate time (adjustable in the menu on the TV). This ensures a high level of future-security and a wider and improved range of functions.

Camping The Technistar S6 can be operated using both normal 110/230V mains and a 12V power supply, e.g. for a vehicle. Hence it is suitable for both home and mobile use.
